We may collect information you choose to provide when you schedule an appointment, use the chat feature, submit a website form, contact us, or access a client service. This information may include your name, email address, telephone number, appointment details, and the contents of your message. A business consultation request may also include your business name and location, industry, tax treatment, revenue range, employee range, requested services, bookkeeping system and condition, preferred timing, and stated budget readiness.

While you complete the multi-step business consultation form, a draft may be stored temporarily in your current browser tab. That browser session draft is removed after a successful submission or when the tab session ends.

Please do not send Social Security numbers, tax documents, financial account information, or other highly sensitive records through an ordinary website form or chat. Use the secure client portal or another method specifically approved by Tait’s Tax Service Inc.

When you visit the website, our hosting and technology providers may automatically receive technical information such as your IP address, browser type, device type, referring page, pages viewed, and approximate location. Cookies, local storage, or similar technologies may also be used to remember site preferences and support website functionality.

We use a first-party measurement tool to understand visits to public website pages and whether someone completes a requested action. The tool may create random browser and session identifiers and record the page path, page title, event name, and interaction location. Campaign attribution supplied in the landing-page address, such as UTM source, medium, campaign, or a Google advertising click identifier, may be retained in local browser storage for up to 90 days and with a later form or booking record so the action can be associated with the original visit.

Public-page measurements are sent to our own website endpoint and forwarded to Google Analytics 4 without the raw UTM values or Google advertising click identifiers. We do not send names, email addresses, telephone numbers, message contents, form answers, appointment details, tax information, portal activity, or document information in these analytics events. Advertising personalization is disabled for these events. Google Analytics may be linked to Google Ads for reporting. When a visit includes a Google advertising click identifier, a successful contact form, business consultation request, or individual discovery booking may cause that click identifier, action time, and a non-personal transaction identifier to be sent directly to Google Ads to measure the related conversion; form answers and contact details are not included. Calls placed from a Google Ads call asset may also be measured through Google Ads call reporting, including whether a call reaches a configured duration.

You may limit local storage through your browser settings. Blocking measurement storage does not prevent you from using the website or submitting a form.

We may use information to respond to inquiries, schedule appointments, evaluate whether a requested service is an appropriate fit, route a business inquiry for personal review, provide requested services, manage client relationships, operate and protect the website, improve the user experience, meet legal and professional obligations, and communicate about matters relevant to your request or engagement.

If you separately and expressly opt in, we may send appointment confirmations, reminders, rescheduling and cancellation updates, and replies to inquiries you send to the Tait’s Tax Service Inc. business number, by text message to the mobile number you authorize. You may opt in by selecting the unchecked text-message consent box while booking, or by reviewing the complete disclosure on our Contact page and texting YES to 631-825-2626. Sending an ordinary question without first opting in does not enroll a number in the program. Message frequency varies based on appointment activity and user-initiated conversations. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out or HELP for help. Consent is not a condition of service.

Mobile numbers, text-message opt-in data, and consent records are not sold or shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. We may provide this information to messaging and technology providers only as needed to operate the text message program, maintain security, or comply with law.

If you call or text our business number, we may collect your telephone number, message content, communication timestamps, delivery status, call status and duration, and a contact name when it can be matched to an existing business record. Calls to the business number may be forwarded to an authorized firm representative. The website does not record call audio.

Telephone and text communications are processed by our communications provider as needed to route calls, deliver messages, prevent abuse, and maintain communication history. Ordinary SMS is not a secure channel. Do not text Social Security numbers, tax documents, banking details, passwords, authentication codes, or other highly sensitive information.

The website may use external providers for appointment scheduling, chat, hosting, analytics, email delivery, workflow automation, and client portal functionality. Business qualification submissions may be delivered by email and, when configured, copied to an internal lead-tracking or customer relationship system. When you use those features, information may be processed by the applicable provider under its own privacy terms. We encourage you to review the provider notices presented when using an external service.

Information may be shared with service providers that support website or business operations, with professional advisers when appropriate, or when disclosure is reasonably necessary to comply with law, protect rights and safety, investigate misuse, or complete a business transaction. Providers receive information only as needed for the relevant function.

We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards appropriate to the nature of the information. No online service can guarantee complete security. Information is retained for as long as reasonably needed for the purposes described here and to satisfy legal, tax, accounting, professional, or dispute-resolution obligations.

A random analytics browser identifier may remain until you clear the site's local storage. Campaign attribution associated with a submitted form or booking may be retained with that business record. Limited delivery evidence—such as a random event identifier, provider status, an applicable advertising click identifier, and a provider request identifier—may be retained to reconcile delivery, prevent duplicate reporting, investigate failures, and maintain an operational audit trail under the firm's retention practices.

You can limit cookies through your browser, choose not to submit optional information, and contact us to ask about information you previously provided through the website. Some requests may be limited by legal, professional, security, or recordkeeping requirements.
